「We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!」

「The pictures don't do it justice, the house is absolutely beautiful and so spacious. Ideal location. The hosts thought of EVERYTHING, the house is so well equipped and has literally everything you could possibly need. Hosts were fabulous and so responsive and even included a welcome basket with wine, treats and bread and milk. We couldn't believe how cheap it was for the location, amenities and house in general. 「We stayed now on two occasions on our journeys north & south to Scotland. The bungalow is easily accessible not too far from the A1 & there are good convenience facilities just off the A1 roundabout less than 4 miles from Austerfield. The bungalow is furnished to a high standard with comfortable sofas & excellent beds & bedding. The location is in a secure park with intriguing deer statues in several places. Well recommended for short or long stays.」

「We did not stay. The room was upstairs and we had to go through a really trashy yard to get to it. It was cold and the heaters didn’t work, smelt like mildew and the bathroom was a disaster! We let and found appropriate accommodations! I can’t believe they would consider renting the place! We had to travel down a one way road to get to the place and the gate was closed. The neighbor sent us another way and the grounds were beautiful but the place was totally trashed. There was nobody there to...
