The bedroom was excellent, clean well furnished and appointed. The only small criticism was that there was a lack of comfortable space away from the restaurant space and bar but as we were only staying one night this didn’t matter too much. The breakfast was excellent and the bar food, whereas it was well prepared, was a little limited in choice. We would however stay again.

We stayed on a Saturday night. Dinner was excellent, homemade fair price. Definitely recommend reservations for dinner. Breakfast was enjoyable, staff was pleasant and the conversation with other hotel guests allowed us an opportunity to meet the other hotel guests and gain the insights of their home countries. This stay is highly recommended.

Absolutely top recommendation for The Bowes Hotel! Everything was perfect, great room (Pottery Room for us), great staff, great beer, great food, great location. Absolutely nothing we did not like apart from leaving. A first visit which I really hope will not be our last. Great work by the team here.
