Aizuwakamatsu Higashiyama Dam Hotels

"Our room overlooked the treed face of the cliff, down to the stream at the bottom. It was very relaxing. The staff were all very welcoming, and the half board dinner and breakfast were amazing."

"best ryokan in aizu wakamatsu"

"They were very helpful even with my limited Japanese"

"good hotel"

"Our stay was a very special traditional ryokan experience. The location right next to the river/waterfall makes for a scenic backdrop, that just elevates the experience. Our room was rather big and we loved the decor. The spas are large and all have an in- and outdoor area. We also booked massages and the private spa and both where very nice. Breakfast is traditional japanese. We went by car and there was parking close to the hotel, but there is also a bus station right in front of the lobby."

"If you are looking to experience how Japanese travel, sleep on tatami rooms and eat a good selection of Japanese food. Then this hotel is a good choice. Your room includes a breakfast and dinner buffetes and most people wear the colorful yukata provided by the hotel. The property is a bit out of date but the public bath is quite nice. Transportation into the city is limited and taxi is about $20 USD"

"We didn’t use the onsen attached to the hotel as the sister hotel was much nicer, we appreciated the cleanliness of our room, had a great experience "

"Good location, delicious breakfast."

"Clean room with lake view. Comes with ticket entry to herb garden."

"Very clean, excellent service "

"Great location and free parking Nice room Comfortable beds"

"Welcome gift coupons are a great surprise. Good breakfast."

"Nice hotel Clean with public baths"

"China (Cheena) looked after us so well. She did everything, cooking , cleaning, driving us to ski resort. Our train was cancelled and they came to pick us up at Bandai Altima at a cost which was terrific. There actually is a bus from Koriyama to the Ski Resort however the bus station seemed unable to tell us that. It would have been good information from Reitopia also. Anyway it was very kind to pick us up. The menu is a bit limited and it seemed there were other things to eat, if you were in...
