What’s not to love - a comfortable bed, a big room with an ocean view, a rocking chair on the balcony overlooking a paddock of goats and sheep with babies. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts are friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend Magic Skies and would stay here again.

We had a good stay at Magic Skies. The property seemed to have a nice atmosphere with the different spaces and room themes though there were some areas undergoing maintenance at the time of our stay. We didn’t end up having the breakfast service offered but it seemed reasonable. Though overall was an enjoyable stay with a good location.

The property is amazing with beautiful views. The host is very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned before us. There was still hair in the drain that was not ours and cobwebs in many corners. BUT we would absolutely stay here again because it was wonderful!

Staying here was amazing! Every morning we woke up and saw the sunrise from bed. The room was clean and had A/C. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything you need. Coffee was supplied( but you need to buy sugar). It was fun to sit on the porch and watch the baby animals play. It was such a beautiful home. Lots of space to spread out. It was only my husband and I but I want to take all our kids and families with us next to to enjoy this beautiful space.

This place is like walking into heaven when live the go, go, go lifestyle! Riding around with Sue on Gator feeding the animals was so therapeutic! It’s hard to describe, you have to go and stay to feel that sigh of relief from stress the minute you walk in the door. Kevin is up feeding fishes in the morning and educated me on different types of Koi, especially the one that looks the Japanese flag. He also designed and built the woodwork in the house.So much love, thought and precision was put into this heaven. Sue did all the decor, and it’s beautiful! Big only complaint….I didn’t stay long enough!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this recently opened property. The hosts were attentive and responsive, and they were kind enough to share a dozen fresh eggs with us! The home was just north of Hilo, easy to find, and a convenient location for our trips to Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea. It would be a great place for a larger group, as there were three bedroom suites on the main floor with a very generous living area and lanai. We particularly enjoyed watching the farm animals and the beautiful sunrise over the ocean. I didn’t love that our space did not have an en suite bathroom - the bathroom had a slatted door and was right next to the shared kitchen, so if the other guests were using the kitchen, there was not as much privacy as I would have liked. Otherwise, our room was comfortable and quiet, and it was a great start to our first visit to Hawai’i.

It was clean, organized, high-value, and that's just scratching the surface of how superlative this place is. I loved it here. It's a work of art. The hosts are gracious, generous, and treated me like a friend. From the custom-made-stonework-tree-lined welcome to the koi pond bridge entrance, from the clean, soft beds with a myriad of pillows to the massive, fully-equipped kitchen, it was an exceedingly positive experience top to bottom. The Hawaiian sunrise and hot tub mornings led to chopping open coconuts before walking to the local Honoli'i beach. Great views and being on a farm enhanced my goal of reconnecting with nature while on vacation. The place is a reflection of the owners, Kevin & Sue, and is imbued with their artistry and hospitality. I was in the Surf's Up room this time and I'm looking forward to another visit.
