"You can beat this place. A very nice remote cabin not far from Summersville Lake. We didn't see or hear any people while we were there. I did hear a rooster in the distance and saw several deer each evening. It was very clean and there's a washer, dryer and hot tub. Thank you for letting us stay there."

"Trains, River, and Mountain view with enough room for a five-person family, and updated cold air conditioning and kitchen. The location is nice for deploying by car across the New River Gorge region. In West Virginia fashion, expect 3-7 coal trains a night at the nearby double crossing. Their horns can be startling if you’re a light sleeper. Our kids didn’t mind at all and loved the trains. Even the Amtrak Cardinal line runs through 3x a week at 10:30 am. The owner instantly approved our request and provided good instructions for the stay. We loved the misty mountain view in the mornings from the front porch. It’s about a 100 yard walk to the New River, with boat access. Most of the time the area is very quiet and serene. This was our first trip to the New River Gorge, and I definitely think we’ll be back."

"We had a fantastic time. 2 adults 2 tweens 2 dogs. Dog and kid paradise. The house is older but it got everything you need. Full kitchen with a huge table, which we loved to hang out in. 2 comfortable bedrooms. My older child slept on an inflatable mattress in the living room, he loved having his own space. Great location. Host thought of every little thing you might need, cups, plates, silverware, trash bags, he even left a self care package including lotion, shampoo, shaving cream etc. the price was amazing, we were so happy we did not stay in the craziness of the touristy zone for rediculous price. Thank u so much for a great stay!"
