“Super quaint. Although there is no front desk the check-in process was simple.The owners were quick to respond to my questions. Parking was simple.”

“A little cleaning and maintenance would definitely improve this place. Mostly elbow grease and replacing broken/ worn goods. At standard for room cleaning, when, and how for the staff, doesn’t need to be every day for longer stays, need a schedule. The hot tub and pool definitely need attention. Hot tub water wasn’t clear or bubbly. Overall not bad for the price and location”

“I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. I really like it for several reasons. It is well maintained and very clean. Everything in my room over the years worked well and the water pressure is always very good. The best part of the room is that I can park my car out front of my room and I don't have to go through the casino. The bed is exceptional comfortable and my room was very clean. I also love the grounds and the lay out of this hotel. The grounds are wonderful……

“It was expensive for the quality. The comforters and towels were stained. Bathrooms not well maintained. The floor had not been swept so there was hair everywhere. The staff was as helpful as they could be considering the circumstances. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone traveling with families.”

“This historic house is beautifully maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. We had the attic room which is extra large and has an amazing spa shower. The proprietors took great care to prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. Loved our stay at 1899!”

“A very unique historical hotel. Nice large room and bathroom. We appreciated the parking and vicinity to downtown, shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We forgot an item in our room and they got it sent to us right away. We've already reserved a room for our next visit.”
