This large beach home is perfect for 2 families with great sleeping options for 11 people and 3 full bathrooms + an outside private shower and 2 water heaters. It is one of the premium vacation properties on the island. It is located approximately 0.5 miles south of the Surf City high-rise bridge on upscale “South Shore Drive” which puts you within walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, groceries, shops, Surf City Pier and more! South Shore Drive is a 25 mph, oceanfront beach road that is only local traffic. It is the perfect place for an exercise run, bike ride or family walk. You can literally put your keys away for the week. We strive to make the house appealing to families with amenities like beach chairs, ping-pong table, gas grill, highchair, baby gate, pack & play and a second overflow refrigerator in the downstairs storage area.
This ocean view 2nd row home has two beach accesses just a short walk across the street, literally 100 feet away. After you spend a day at the beach you can enjoy the large private backyard heated swimming pool that includes a slide for hours of enjoyment for the kids while you relax in the hot tub. The back yard is perfect for our guests to relax, sunbathe, listen to music, enjoy your favorite beverage, read, or enjoy an afternoon nap or have a family cookout with the outdoor grill. The pool is very large for the island with 10k gallons and measures 16' x 32' in length with a large slide. It is heated in the cooler months for free (mid-March - October 31st). The pool is closed Nov 1st through Mar 1st.
The house consists of 2 main floors. The lower main living area contains the kitchen, ½ bath, laundry, dining room, master suite and bath. The kitchen has granite counter tops and is well stocked so you can prepare anything from a large breakfast to spaghetti dinners or burgers on the outside grill. The large dining room table comfortably accommodates 8 guests plus 4 bar stools at the peninsula bar. In the evenings when the sun sets and you are ready to wind down, sink into the large sectional and settle in for relaxation watching the large TV with soundbar. There is also a large front porch that has as a nice outdoor upholstered furniture which is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or happy hour drink. On the second floor the kids have their own space to enjoy their favorite shows, DVDs or games in the upstairs entertainment room. Additionally, upstairs we have 3 bedrooms with 2 king beds and a charming custom built bunk room that contains 3 twin-XL beds & a queen bed. Separating the bedrooms are 2 full bathrooms with double sink vanities. Another full-length covered deck is along the front of the house where you can sit in rocking chairs and have magnificent views of the ocean and pier.

We greatly encourage you to purchase this protection during the Atlantic hurricane season, June 1st to November 30th. You can accept trip protection from VRBO at check out. Trip insurance covers loss of rent payments made because of unforeseen circumstances, illnesses and injuries and includes coverage for mandatory hurricane evacuations. To help defer this cost we are offering a $100 refund for any 7 night stay with proof of insurance purchase showing valid coverage thru the end of your stay.
FEES: Regarding the number of fees renters are required to pay on VRBO. We understand how the quantity of fees add up quickly on a vacation rental but most of them are out of our control. The "service fee" is set by VRBO and the "taxes" are set by the state, county, and city. The "linen fee" is by our vendor and represent the exact amount that we are charged. The cleaning fee includes maintaining the yard, house & pool which are actually higher than what we are charging our guests.
