"Pros: We were upgraded to a three bedroom apartment in the same block. The apartment is very spacious with an attractive terrace and fabulous view of Pico island. It is very tastefully furnished with antiques which have been lovingly restored. Dora was very kind and communication with her was excellent. She left us a lovely welcome hamper of local food. "Von den 4 Unterkünften, die wir in diesem Urlaub auf den Azoren hatten, ist dies die Einzige, die wir nicht empfehlen können. Als wir ankamen (Anfang Mai) waren die Temperaturen zwischen 11 und 17 Grad, mit wenigen sonnigen Abschnitten und dann höheren Temperaturen. Das Haus verfügt über keine Heizung, dementsprechend war die Temperatur im Inneren bei 16 Grad und über 80% Luftfeuchtigkeit. Die Wohnung war also kalt und klamm, in den Schränken und Kommoden riecht es modrig. Erst auf Nachfrage...

"The place is beautiful, in a great location, private and secluded, with nice amenities such as hot tubs, pool, wood BBQ. It looks just like the pictures and overall, we enjoyed our stay. But, - very limited hot water. Takes long to warm up and then only lasts 5 minutes. Not enough for 2 showers. We could only fill the amazing bath up a few inches before it got cold, so kind of useless. - lots of ants, and when we complained, we were told to deal with it ourselves - there was a birds nest...

"Nicely located, convenient with underground parking. The breakfast buffet was a nice and complementary pastries and water bottle in the room. Inside of hotel and room, it was a bit outdated, but still comfortable for 2 nights. Awesome shower pressure! Nice view on Pico Island from their terrace. Overall, I’d go back."

"The house was so beautiful, clean and well equiped! And what to say about the terrasse... i couldn't leave it, the view is even better in person! Host was really sweet, and I got the best welcome from the dogs, chicks and cows. The house is only 10min from the center of Horta, which was really accomodating. I would definitely go back!"

"Every single staff member was warm and welcoming. The hotel is well-maintained and the room was very clean. The Japanese toilet in the room was a nice amenity, and toiletries were also available on the bathroom counter. The bed was comfortable and I like the different lighting options you can use. The pool was my favorite feature of the hotel. It's on the roof where you can also access the spa. The pool and hot tub are connected so you can easily switch from one to the other. It's a small, shallow pool, so there is no diving and not much room to swim - all you can pretty much do is just float in the pool, which is really all you need. The hotel is a block away from a park/garden and a couple of blocks away from the marina. Everything is walkable. The front desk staff were very helpful. They gave me great suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and even helped me reserve a taxi tour of the island. I will definitely be staying here again."
