“Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”

“A grand hotel building set on a picturesque estate with very good parking. It is set quite of the beaten path and the lane leading to the car park area was quite bumpy, dirty and replete with potholes. The hotel is part of the Sure Collection which is Best Western's premier line. The décor was a little tired, especially the carpeting in the corridors, some of which seemed to have been cleaned but only on the main walkway areas.
