"The hotel and rooms were truly five-star. The location was excellent, close to COCO Park and all the action. As a foreign visitor to mainland China, I appreciated that many staff spoke English, making communication easy throughout my stay.
There are a few areas for improvement. The laundry service was extremely expensive. Also, if breakfast was not included, the experience at Zen Cafe felt less welcoming. I ordered a seltzer water that wasn’t included and had to sign a separate receipt at the table, which felt a bit awkward.
My biggest concern happened when leaving the hotel. There was a miscommunication with the taxi driver about Shenzhen Bay Port, and he started heading toward the railway station instead. We were getting farther from the border before I realized. Staff should take more care when confirming destinations with drivers, especially for foreign guests.
That said, I’m grateful for my stay. The gym was top notch, and the Zen Cafe breakfast was excellent, with great selection and presentation. With a bit more attention to service details, the experience could fully match the hotel’s high standards."
