「We absolutely loved staying at Luis’ place! The area is quiet and the view from our room was incredible. The place is located a bit outside the city but we had dinner at a nice vegetarian cafe nearby (which was great even though we’re not vegetarians). Luis was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are modern and some of the best we have experienced in Peru. Such great value for money. The WiFi worked great as well!」

We (family of four) arrived at the base road after a taxi ride (arranged by VSS), stowed some of our extra gear at a secure storage site, then rode the last bit up on 4-wheelers with two experienced guides. 「There was no water in the taps/shower on day 1. The lady at reception knew about it in the night itself about the water problem when we checked in but never tried to sort out or arrange anything. Next day morning when we were rushing to catch our train, we realised there's no water. Next day, she said it's all sorted but when we reached in night it was all cold water. Don't recommend to anyone.」
