“Such a cool space! Set right in the heart of Humboldt's famous redwoods, but only a quick drive to town (Fieldbrook, Blue Lake especially) and SUPER peaceful. We had plenty of floor space for my bestie to set up an air mattress as well. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating - would love to come back again sometime soon!”

“Terrific house for a larger gathering of family and friends. Comfortable bedrooms and fun common spaces, including a huge pool/game room and an expansive deck. The small oceanside village of Trinidad is a real jewel, with a number of scenic beaches within walking or short driving distance. We especially enjoyed the beach immediately accessible by a short trail from the house. Some features of the house are a bit dated but this is far outweighed by the overall comfort, amenities, and location……

“This was a great vacation home! It has plenty of space for 6 people to be comfortable. The location was great for walking to the beach or stuff in town. It had excellent ocean views. The garden area was lovely and it was nice and private for the hot tub use. They also had everything you would need so you don't have to pack any special kitchen items. We really enjoyed our stay!”

“We enjoyed the close proximity to the highway, beaches, grocery stores and restaurants from this property. It was a very quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed the beautiful backyard where our dog enjoyed running and playing. We sat out on the patio every morning for coffee. There is a gate that leads to a trail right out the back yard for walks, or biking. We had plans in both Trinidad and Arcata and this location in McKinleyville was perfect to get to both locations with ease. The kitchen was well……

“Glenn was a wonderful host and I absolutely love staying here with my family. This house has been lovingly renovated, and it’s fully stocked with everything you would need in your home. High-end appliances, stocked kitchen, and cozy, comfortable home and sheets. Wonderful place to spend a few nights or more. This house takes extra special care of his guests and of the property. We felt well taken care of. Glenn was very attentive to our questions as well as as an issue we had during check-in,……

“Beautiful big house. Enough room for all the kids and a nice little back yard for our puppy. Plenty of kitchen items and essentials like coffee and filters! Dishwasher and washing machine easy to navigate. Extra toothbrush was so appreciated as one of my kids left their entire bag at home. Nice to have stores so close too since we had to run to get her new outfits for the weekend!”

“Wonderful home with lots of space to spread out. We cooked many meals and found all we needed to prepare them. The bed was comfy and we could hear the ocean waves on the clear nights. Great place for our visit to the Redwood National Park! Highly recommend this place!”

“The house is beautiful. The kitchen is amazing. My daughter is an avid cook and just loved cooking in that kitchen. Everything was top grade. The house is spacious and open but yet allows private spaces. We had great pickle ball matches. The court has to be in one of the most amazing settings in the world! “We had a great time during our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including some great local recommendations in their guidebook. Jon was incredibly responsive and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was also perfect for exploring the National Redwood Forest. We'd love to stay again!”

“This was an adorable well kept unit moments away from the Arcata Community forest. It had a small kitchenette, which was perfect for small meals, a grill outside for bigger ones and a very comfortable bed. I would highly recommend it, especially if you like to wake up and take a walk among the redwoods.”

“Absolutely stunning, well-appointed home and property. Upon arrival, you're met with sprawling ocean views and windows galore in a private, wooded setting. The kitchen is a chef's dream, so we enjoyed most meals at the house. We left Sanctuary relaxed & rejuvenated - and will definitely be back. Tip: When exploring downtown Trinidad, be sure to stop by Katy's Smokehouse. We bought fresh scallops for our final dinner at the house.
