The hotel was in a perfect location for both the sea front and the town and the staff were helpful and overall amazing.The rooms were very dated and could have done with a walk in shower.The cleanliness was very good and at the end of the day you get what you pay for.The breakfast was excellent.I would stay again.A big thankyou to all the staff

The Golden Lion hotel is lovely Grade 2 listed building. Very old but very pleasant. It was a perfect base for our weekend stay. It’s position is ideal to explore the coastline. Highly recommend

The man on reception when I arrived was so lovely, and the lady on reception when I left was also lovely. The room was spacious & clean. The sea view was amazing. The room was warm and comfortable. Loved my solo stay.

The staff at the Hotel were very pleasant, and the room was clean. Room was small but had everything that was needed and a good sea view. Kitchens close at 7.30 in evening around whole town so earlier dinner recommended.

Lovely old hotel with sea views. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff were excellent with the dogs. The food was delicious and you could eat in the bar along with your dogs. Service was excellent and so were the staff. The only downside was there was no lift
