“We had a lovely couple of nights stay here for our anniversary. The host was friendly and helpful and there was a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere all around. “Children loved the river setting and kayaking. Houses were so well equipped. Outdoor seating by the river, maps, books, games and TV Saw kingfishers each day. Super place. Road quite busy, but disturbed our sleep very little. So many positives about the house and area outweighed the road noise.”

“Ideal location for exploring the Peak district Property was spotless, nicely furnished, well equipped kitchen. Availability of Netflix very nice touch. Property advertised for up to 10, but would think it could be a bit of a squeeze unless several of party were small children. There were 6 of us and it was perfect size”

“Stunning cottage in the best location. We didn’t have a car so location was key. Within a couple of minutes walk you are in the Chatsworth Estate. The local bus stop is just across the road which is great for using the hop on hop off open top bus in the summer. Also a great Italian restaurant in Baslow. I highly recommend this cottage & will definitely rebook. ”

“What a lovely property! Clean, cozy, and comfortable in a fantastic, quiet location that's a brief walk to all of Bakewell. Very convenient to have a parking spot! Everything I needed for an extended stay was included (nicely stocked kitchen, washer, etc.) and check in/out was very easy. Owner responded quickly to all messages and was lovely to interact with. “Staff were helpful and great to talk to, and parking was convenient. Actual hotel is a bit of a walk from town centre, so bear that in mind (there is a bus stop within a 5min walk). On the other hand the area was nice and quiet (although I did stay outside of the academic year). Also this hotel has communal kitchens on each floor where you can cook and store leftovers, but there is no restaurant, although the Halifax Hall nearby does if you need a meal.”
