"The rooms were a bit mixed up on arrival. We had booked a club room and was given a normal double, although to be fair we had asked to be on lower floor but we were also advised that there was no club room on ground floor. On arrival we just accepted the double room as we had travelled down from Scotland and were tired. We also paid for early check in not realising that when booking a club room early check in is included but payment was still taken. There were children running up and down the corridor at night playing and making a noise however the hotel cannot be blame for that.. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would stay there again if we came back to Liverpool "

"Myself and my partner stayed for x2 nights earlier this week in room 208. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good size rooms with living room area with plenty of room. Free WiFi okay but wasn’t great. Food was good reasonable price. Rooms were clean but we did find x2 large bottles of Gin stashed behind the living room sofa on our departure, that wasn’t ours. Overall we both enjoyed our stay relaxing in their lovely pool area. "

"First of all i would not trust the reviews on here. Staff friendly.lift small and very slow. Room needs updating paint peeling in certain areas. 7cm brown stain on carpet .buikding showing its age.could do with a total revamp. Breakfast basic for the money. Recomend eat elsewhere. Evening menu not exstensive . There was also an altercation in hallway security were calked on more than one occasion. In my opinion its a budget hotel and the 10/10 reviews are not to be trusted."

"this was a sports pub with rooms not a hotel. No breakfast available( which wasn’t made clear on booking) and no heating in bedroom in the morning. Room was fine if uninspiring and good refreshment tray for hot drinks."

"The restaurant was closed I was directed to a great Italian restaurant a few hundred yards away. Walls are thin and the halls are laminate so every suitcase that’s trundled along the hall outside is like a jumbo jet taxiing past"

"Heat Pump out sound is very noisy and runs 24/7, disnt get a wink of sleep!!! "

"Had to check in down the road then get back in my car which isn't great with a suitcase. Room ok. Restaurants was a walk away and nothing was easy to get to. Overall ok but be patient. "

"The host cancelled this booking 3 hours before check in claiming issues with electrics and heating. She offered a sub standard property on Anfield Road, as a replacement with no reduction in cost even though the property offered was much cheaper. When we contacted Vrbo they held a three way conversation where the host said she was too busy to speak (even though support is 24/7) and we should email on the Monday after our weekend break was over. We passed the property we had paid for (the one here) and there was someone in there charging their car, so there was clearly no problem with property, she just changed ours for no reason. We did not stay in the second property we were dumped with. If I could give 0 stars I would. To date she has not repaid the money we paid. Issues such as broken back door so no security, no parking permit, garden gate held shut with a stack of chairs, hardly any cutlery, dirty pans some with food still left in to name but a few issues."
