“Cant not fault the place. Its was clean, easy to gain access with it being unmanned, shops near by for food. Will stay again if in the area.”

“Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride.”

“Lovely place, great location on the high street. Private, off street parking is very helpful - the entrance to it is through a very narrow archway which was a tight squeeze for an SUV. The property itself is well kept & equipped. Very clean and nicely furnished. Communication from the owner by text on the day with all the check in info was very helpful.”

“Lovely house with enclosed garden for our dog. Fridge and freezer needed a good clean and the cups needed replacing ( cracked and badly stained). Otherwise all was good!”

“Lovely bungalow with a secure garden for the children to play out in. The location is perfect, really quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind in the countryside. Easy access to lots of stunning places to visit. The bungalow is well equipped with everything you may need and Mary the host is lovely, helpful and welcoming. Thank you Mary!”

“Very well presented little cottage. There are a few different cottages here, we stayed in Valencourt. Quality furnishings and fittings, was very comfortable and cosy for a family of 4. Only frustration was the showers. Very difficult to get the right temp for the kids. (I think its to do with the hot water pressure) Even so it didn't spoil our stay, lovely touch with welcome pack in the kitchen, tea, sugar, milk, bread, butter, fresh orange juice and biscuits. Very appreciated! But the best……

“I think the place is great. It just neds a few slight updates. Privacy window/curtains in living room, moss to be cleaned in garden and mould and mildew in bathroom. I know I being rather picky, but it such a great place those things just let it down. I would definitely stay again”

“Had a lovely 2 night stay in granary cottage. Set in lovely private grounds. The cottage was very spacious, clean, eqipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Owners are very friendly and helpful and very prompt with any request you may have. We would definitely stay there again!”

“Nice overnight stay at Hall Garth hotel, just minutes off the motorway but no sound of traffic !!!!!, Staff are all very friendly and an asset to the business. Evening meal was very tasty as was the breakfast. They have closed the swimming pool but have Spa facilities but at a premium price of £15 for 90 minutes which in my opinion is over priced. Rooms a little dated but comfortable . Would certainly recommend and return. They also have their own golf course. ”
