My wife and I had a great one-week stay here with our two children. The location was perfect for us -- very close to town but on the north side giving easy access to the hiking trails of the Presedentials and Crawford Notch. The house feels fairly new and was absolutely pristine when we arrived. Vacasa does a great job communicating about check-in, Wifi passwords, etc. They also have somebody on call you can text if there are any issues during your stay, though we didn't have any. We found the house overall quite comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The only real negatives were: 1) no dishwasher and a small kitchen area meant we didn't do any cooking, 2) there are a lot of windows, but no window shades at all other than thin fabric tacked up in two of the bedrooms, so the downstairs bedroom and the two small beds in the upstairs hall get lots of sun, and 3) some really minor issues like the downstairs bathroom door not closing and one of the main floor windows not closing all the way. Another review talked about the lack of A/C but there is a heat pump unit that cooled the place very well. We had a black bear in back yard late one afternoon so be aware that if you're traveling with a pet or young children you may not want to leave them alone to play outside. The bear sighting was actually a great experience and seems to be increasingly common in this area, so read up on how to handle it if you happen to encounter one.
