“We chose this property in large part for the location off the beaten path but within easy striking distance of the Folsom area. It provided exactly the peace and quiet we had hoped, and that made our down time and sleeping much better than somewhere busier. Arrival was smooth, and the property was clean, although no what I would call high level ‘industry standard’ clean. Given the length of our stay we also expected to clean as we went anyway. “I’m a mom of three kids, and told my husband that all I wanted for Mother’s Day was a night to myself, full of self care and good sleep. This cozy cottage was more than I ever expected. I loved the antiques incorporated into the decor and farmhouse feel. The bed was so comfortable and the outdoor environment was charming and inviting. The hostess was communicative and kind.”

“The property was very clean and well-maintained. Because you’re getting just a room you have to share the common areas. We had to share a bathroom with another couple and my only complaint is that when I initially asked if we had a private bathroom I was told yes. It may have been a language barrier. Overall, it was very nice and convenient for us.”

“We visited Sunset Hills in April, and it was so beautiful. Quail were browsing outside the sliding glass door. The grass was bright green and trees were leafing out. So beautiful. Very close to Sutter Creek where the shopping is fun, and the food is fabulous. Next time I want to swim in that beautiful infinity pool and sit by the fire table in the evening. Thank you for a great stay!”

“In the listing it says you need to provide ID. There is no way to attach a photo in the inbox feature and no e-mail and the host didn’t reach out regarding the situation until day of. I ended up having to send my id to customer service and have them forward it to her. The worst part of my experience was the assumption the host made of me bringing “unauthorized guests” instead of just reaching out to inquire about their concerns. My friend and I rented a room each and came down from Oregon……
