“We stayed in the Garden Cottage for a week and cannot recommend it for longer stays. While the property manager responded to our texts and generally sent maintenance within 24 hours, the property suffers from poor upkeep and temporary fixes. Our issues started at check-in when our entry code failed, and no one answered the phone, forcing us to communicate solely via text. Upon entry, the unit smelled strongly of marijuana, the bedroom closet door was broken, and a ceiling fan blade was hanging……

“This cottage was perfect for our stay in Tawas! Everything was as advertised. We were close to town and the State Park. We went to the beach a couple of days. We went to Lumberman's Monument and a few of the restaurants. We participated in Tawas Summerfest with our Camaro and even took a couple of the Aliens to the car cruise. Lots of spectators enjoyed our Alien passengers!Melissa has thought of everything to make sure you have an enjoyable stay!”

The younger adults we had with us loved the hot tub & they enjoyed it every night we were there. I myself was not happy with all the large spiders hanging above the area (my head) so I was not in it long. The neighborhood was quiet & very relaxing. However, the rest is not as advertised. We were unable to access the water for swimming or using the boats. There is no ladder into the river……

“The cottage was cute, clean and has a beautiful view of the lake. The lake was clean and perfect for our BOTE(stand up board) and kayak. The host was professional and accommodating. I would recommend this cute quaint cottage to my family and friends.”
