「The heat was out and we weren’t notified until we were already in the place and only because I asked how to turn the heater up. There was only hot water on the day we arrived, although the owner came and checked the boiler and said it was working. No hot water so unable to shower for two nights. No window covering in the living room. The third bed was described as a futon/couch. It was barely sleep able. Not enough extra blankets with the heat being out. It was walking distance to a bunch of...

「The place was spacious, and pretty clean. Self checkin was easy. We did not have working wifi and we sadly never got a reply from the host. There was also a window that could not close. The kitchen is very simple in its supplies, but works for the basics. There was a washing machine which was very nice to have. Overall a good-ish experience, despite the wifi not working, the broken window mechanism and the host not answering.」

「I have never had an issue communicating with a property using Hotels.Com but that was the case with Griffith Hall. The person who registered us said that it was a common issue for them. In the end, things worked out but it could be a problematic issue. The residence is just that a college residence. Don't expect a regular hotel experience. And be prepared to use public transit to get anywhere or walk a lot. It is not in a central location.」

「Bit of a trek from car park to the rooms, even using the lift need to carry luggage or groceries up stairs. Room doors are very heavy and 7 year old couldn't open them himself. Otherwise accommodation was comfortable and clean, with spectacular views.」
