I thought the staff was friendly. The breakfast was large and well stocked. The restrooms had plenty of towels and the like. The carpet was pretty dirty but not smelly. I liked staying there and they aren't trying to add more to the bill.

The rooms smell a bit musty, the shower leaks and the water is hard. The WiFi is not great and cuts out a lot. Staff is kind, but the experience wasn’t what I had expected based on photos posted. Breakfast was also lackluster.

I’ve stayed at other La Quinta Hotels before and it wasn’t bad .But this location in Irvine was horrible we checked in and saw how horrible the rooms are and checked out in less than 15 mins this place should be investigated for how poorly the whole place looks. Only good part is the refunded our money it was almost like they were not surprised how fast we came back to the front desk to check out.

Two stars because the bed and bathroom appeared very clean.The room smelled like smoke and mold (we don't smoke), walls, carpets and flooring were not very clean. The continental breakfast was good. There's was what appeared to be a smelly drunk man, spread on the floor by the stars landing, hours after we informed the front desk. He asked for food or money every time we went by.
