“Comfortable but very expensive. We had room 21 which can be connected to the room next to it by a simple door, and we could hear the TV very loud from our neighbours all evening and the morning again (at 250 £ a night, without breakfast...).”

“We loved our stay at number 17 the Promenade! Rooms were small, but very functional-and was easy to hold our luggage from our two week long trip in Scotland. The food and the restaurant were absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive! We actually canceled our second night at another restaurant and chose to stay and eat again in the hotels restaurant. There wasn’t any air-conditioning or elevator, but a good fan in the room kept us cool and the stairs were manageable. I would……

“The bar downstairs was amazing - huge selection of whiskies and the knowledge to go with that. Also open mic night with lovely Scottish ballads and good music other nights.”

“Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening. Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon). Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return.”
