The beach pod exceeded expectations. Heated floors, comfortable bed, clean, and beautiful scenery. Wish we had more time to stay here. Would book again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Very old hotel and the property and rooms show it. The staff and the restaurant make up for it. Great breakfast. Rolls are on par with a university dorm.
Beautiful location with easy access by car or public transport to Fort William, Glencoe etc. Loch is good to swim in (if a bit chilly) in front of the hotel. The beach is pebbly to some kind of footwear is helpful. Rooms clean and a good size. Breakfast excellent, and includes haggis (although only filter coffee).
Stayed in a beach pod with family of 4. Really enjoyed this setup and lochside location. Pod had everything we needed.
Some other areas of the hotel are a bit tired and needing some TLC but this didn’t impact us. It was very comfortable and we had a good evening meal and good breakfast in their restaurant and breakfast room.

Liked: Staff & service
The property is a much older inn/Hotel. The carpets were old and dingy. Air fresheners and every single corner of every single room to cover up the musky smell. The view of the water is spectacular and although we did not eat in the restaurant we did see food coming in and out, and it looked wonderful.
Hotel staff was amazingly helpful and kind. The beach pods were a unique experience, so well designed and it felt so special to hear the sound of the waves. Great value for money. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food both in the evening and at breakfast. Room was clean and tidy. Views from the dining area were fabulous.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
For the price of the room, I expected better. It felt a bit dingy, and the gentleman at reception was a bit pushy about ordering dinner. The room itself was outdated and there were mold stains on the shower door. The shower leaked out into the bedroom and left the carpet sopping wet. We let them know, but they knew about it. Seems weird they would rent that room out. Who knows how long it has been like that. Breakfast was pretty good and the gentleman at breakfast was kind. I would not stay here again, especially for the peice we paid. It was also very noisy, the walls are thin and you can hear the rooms around you.
This well-appointed hotel is right on the shore of Lough Linnhe, with its own beach, garden, terrace and free parking. The staff are lovely - efficient, helpful and full of smiles.
Although it did at first seem a little pricey at £200-plus per night in May, this included a good breakfast. Our room in the main hotel was comfortable, well-maintained, had a lovely view and modern facilities, including a decent smart TV - a rarity, it seems in the Scottish Highlands!
The restaurant was reasonably priced and offered wonderful wide views.
A great base from which to explore this spectacular area.
A brief but very pleasant stay with our family at the Onich. We stayed in a little standalone corrage next to the hotel and it was very comfortable. The only downside was that the only bathroom was upstairs via the bedroom and the property was facing a main road so we had to be very cautious leaving it with our children. The staff were wonderful; very warm and friendly and the food was excellent.
Allowed us to check in slightly early with no issues at all. Staff all really professional and attentive. The cabins are fantastic and the views breathtaking.
