“I reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights. I called the day before to ask if we could check in 30 minutes early 2:30pm instead of 3pm. They said no problem. When I checked in only 1 of our 2 rooms was ready. So we put all of our things in the one room. There was garbage sitting in front of the room that was "ready" for check in a pizza box full of something and a bunch of take out boxes stacked on top and other garbage. It smelled bad. The bathroom had a sliding door that also was used for the closet.……

“Location is steps away from main drag and SIU campus.”

“The room was clean and building was little dated but over all the stay was good didn't get to look at the continental breakfast, I left before 6:00 will use this property again”

“飯店乾淨,以美國飯店有含免費早餐而言,算是還可以,雖然可選擇性的餐點不多,但至少不會挨餓”

“Our first two rooms were awful. But the third room was good. Front desk was very helpful and quite appalled at what was in our room.”

“Room was dated but clean. Bed was comfortable. We were grateful for the help we received after a botched reservation at another hotel.”

“Makanda inn is a very well maintained place. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious.”

“When first walking into the room the air was stale as the air unit had been kept completely off, but once turned on it wasn’t noticeable anymore. The room was very dated and definitely needed a facelift. However it was kept very clean with comfortable bedding. If I needed to stay overnight in this town again I would choose here.”

“The cabin was great! A few little extras for a welcome package. Did not skimp on the towels and bedding. Great decor. Loved it!!!”

“High quality room, with farm privacy and atmosphere. We would recommend it and stay there again. Only one thing: The ladder to the loft bedroom is quite steep. My wife struggled a bit with it. But then, she is in her late 60's. Nevertheless, a good place that we will recommend. A/C worked well, and was needed. Room very clean. We hardly saw staff, which was fine, as we enjoyed our privacy.”

“Great experience, perfect spot for our staff working an event at Apple Creek! Host was great and excellent communication. Will stay again next time we are down to Apple Creek.”

“The pond did not look like it did in the picture and it was a disgusting color and did not have a beach walk in area. There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it ”

“This was a well-maintained, super cute cabin. The bed was comfy! The set up was great and everything we needed was provided. Would definately stay again!”

“Host was very responsive. Setting was peaceful. We enjoyed the privacy, the front porch swing, and the hot tub. It was a great spot for a weekend get away!”

“Excellent pet friendly getaway property. Super clean and the host was extremely accommodating.”
