"I usually don’t leave reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so bad I feel compelled to share it to warn other travelers. I previously worked in the hospitality industry and understand you get what you pay for. I don’t expect a five-star experience from a budget hotel - just the basics: a clean bed, a clean shower, WiFi, and a mini fridge. I’ve stayed in many cheap hotels that met these expectations. This one did not. This was the filthiest hotel I’ve ever seen. There were large dark brown and red stains/globs all over the walls. The floors had severe water damage and was uneven and cracked. There was visible mold on the wall next to the AC unit. The peephole was busted out and had a Kleenex stuffed inside. Long black hairs were all over the bathroom counter and shower. The toilet was clogged immediately upon check-in and clearly hadn’t been cleaned as there were urine stains on the lid and seat. The comforter was covered in stains as well. When I went downstairs to notify the front desk, the lady there went into another room and slammed the door so loud that the windows rattled. I waited for 5 minutes or longer and she never came out. There are plenty of decent, affordable hotels available. There is absolutely no excuse for the condition of this room, and I’m shocked this property is advertised on Expedia. Don’t let the pictures they advertise fool you as the rooms look nothing like what is advertised - avoid this hotel at all costs."

"This is an AMAZING, FABULOUS family vacation spot. The home is meticulously maintained with mint condition accommodations and thoughtful amenities. Our kids loved the game room and played air hockey, pool and watched hockey on the TV every chance they could. When not downstairs, they loved roasting marshmallows at the campfire and playing frisbee in the beautiful backyard with STUNNING views and privacy. My husband and I loved coffee on the back deck in the morning and sunsets are beyond remarkable. We were able to see the Linville Caverns, Linville waterfall, jet ski on Lake James and hike Tom’s Creek to the waterfall there as well and highly recommend those to visitors (all of which are close drives from the home). The host, Michael, is wonderful!!! He was so generous, courteous and went out of his way on multiple occasions to accommodate our family and ensure we had the best stay. We give the Dream Cabin highest regards!!!"

"We have stayed here several times now. The manager obviously takes great pride in what they do. Always spotless, tastefully decorated and staff are wonderful. If you’re booking on hotels.com please be aware there is not an EV charging station. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"I really wanted to post a negative review of this cabin because I want it to remain a secret and available down the road, but I won't do that. It was lovely. Evenings and nights sitting on the covered porch watching for fireflies and listening to the bullfrogs was an amazing experience. It was extremely peaceful and it had a hot tub. We will definitely be back in the near future. "
