Weekend Getaway

Great Girls GA Getaway

The property has great views. It's an adventure driving up from the gatehouse. The house had everything we needed for our weekend get away. We especially enjoyed the sun room!!!!

The sunset was beautiful.

Being greeted by wildlife was a wonderful surprise. It was a nice cabin, but definitely needs some updates to the furniture and a little TLC. It is very nicely centrally located in the Georgia foothills and is close to Elijay, and close enough to visit Dalohnega and Helen.

The cabin was clean and beautiful. Our gas fireplace was not working properly which we reported. Never got to use it. I personally was a little to high on the mountain( the drive up and down took a little out of me). For a child friendly cabin I wish I had brought some plastice cups. All in all we had a comfortable stay, especially the beds. Beautifully decorated!!

Good place to enjoy some peace and quiet in the mountains.

This cabin is great for our family of four, due to the loft having a third bed. There are two proper bedrooms downstairs, where each of our children slept, and my wife and I took the upstairs bed, which also has its own bathroom. The deck is nice and big, though it does not have the patio swing that is pictured in two of the property photos. They should update those shots or state as such, as that was a disappointment. There is a little covered area with two swings, but it’s not on the deck, so it’s not as natural to hang out there while grilling food and eating in the evening. There is no wifi as of now, but that was clearly stated in the description, so I can’t fault them for the honesty. The service isn’t great, at least for T-Mobile. It worked for messages and YouTube, but many websites struggled to load. The drive can be a bit challenging if you aren’t accustomed to mountain driving. There are some sharp turns and steep slopes to traverse. It wasn’t an issue for me, but I can see it being difficult for someone not used to it. I also avoided going home after dark to not have to deal with the roads when they’re harder to see. The drive is worth it though, as it is very quiet and beautiful at the cabin. We saw tons of dear walk right on by, and supposedly there are bears too! The community is great, and the added comfort of a security check-in makes the whole area feel that much safer.

The heat did not work at the property and the temperature inside the property got down to 46 degree’s overnight- additionally the glass coffee pot was cracked and when we tried to make coffee in the morning, the coffee from the brewing pot leaked out all over the counter

Our second time at the home.

Everything was great. The home had everything you needed to cook. This has become our favorite place to stay. We enjoyed the cool weather and seeing all the bears and cubs walking around. We will definitely be back.

Baseball/leisure trip

Breathtakingly beautiful once you got up the hills. You may need to specify your vehicle needs to be able to make it, had I brought my older car instead of my newer one we may have had an issue because it was not listed. Also, should mention the trash needing to go in the vehicles for about a 10 minute drive to the front gates upon checkout and anytime they are full. The wifi is nonexistent not just little it does not pull up on a search with the name given and has not for a couple months as per the guest several months ago left at the house in the book they asked it be checked then. Other than that everything was absolutely wonderful we loved our stay. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. The home was cozy and had everything you could ask for minus internet. We got to see bears, deer, chipmunk. Very peaceful and we want to come back with the whole family not just a couple of the kids. Maybe by then the internet will be fixed, not always a bad thing though, but some still have to tend to work on and off. We appreciate the beauty and comfort your home afforded us during our stay, we hope to be back. Thank-you!

Secluded, cute and comfortable

This house is perched in the woods on a high point of an exclusive community with a great and private view through the trees (leaves still not out at our visit). Everything in the well-equipped house is clean and in good shape. Nice layout. It would be so perfect in nice weather with deck around half the octagon house and lovely sunroom. Big easy kitchen. We were happy with the beds and pillows.

Great mountain retreat in a very beautiful resort community

We really loved this community and Behr Ridge was nice. The drive up to the home is picturesque but can be a bit scary for flat landers. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with kitchen essentials. We loved the neighborhood hikes and resting next to the waterfalls with our kiddos. Our only negatives would be that the fireplace does not work, the wifi is also not working/connected and the beds are need of replacement. Would have been a nice touch to have some of the usual cooking needs like salt & pepper, cooking oil/spray, tinfoil/parchment stocked for convenience as the store is a 20 min drive down to Jasper. Our kids loved the property and we loved seeing them so happy playing outside and enjoying the crisp mountain air. Sunsets on the porch was beautiful as was watching the twinkling lights of the town below.

Beautiful but misleading

The listing stated that the property had Internet a pool and a lake view. Upon reaching the cabin, there was no lake close to where I was staying and the Internet did not work. Therefore, I could not do my work from home for the month that I stayed there and access to the pool was difficult. The lights outside on the driveway did not work as well. I rented a cabin for a month, expecting to be able to do some work from the cabin and unfortunately I was not able to accomplish that. However the cabin and the surroundings was very beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable. I just wish it had been more accurate with the Internet because I would probably not have rented the cabin because as I stated I needed to do work, and I was unable to do so.

Will stay there again

There were some difficulties, but I made phone calls and there were quick responses. I loved the privacy and the sleeping situation. My room was always quiet. We especially liked having pets. The house was clean, parking was easy, and it was cool there.
