“Hotel was fabulous and quirky with great staff, lovely food and located on the harbour, filled with beautiful million pound yachts. However, move away from the harbour and the surrounding area and town centre is the worst I've ever seen. Derelict buildings, unsavoury characters, vape, kebab and other undesirable shops.”

“Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Unfortunately air con wouldn't change setting so it got a bit too hot but luckily window opened. I would have liked a complimentary bottle of water to make hot drinks with as not nice using water from bathroom tap, I drove to a shop to get my own. Breakfast was amazing, spoilt for choice but would have been nice if they served it until a later time so that I could fit in a quick swim before. Overall it was a lovely stay and I will definitely be going back. ”

“The staff were absolutely superb. Nothing was too much trouble and they made my husband, granddaughter and dog very welcome. The Sunday morning breakfast was a bit chaotic. Very busy and the hot food was disappearing very quickly, so there was always a key item missing. The staff were doing their best though. Lots of ceiling cobwebs in the room!”

“Stayed here for a family event with my extended family. The room was spotless if a little dated. The bathroom was also exceptionally clean and the shower worked well. It does need a little investment, the furniture and furnishings are tired. Breakfast was good if limited in choice. All the team were pleasant. If you're looking for a comfortable, unflashy stay this hotel perfect.”

“What a wonderful place to stay! The lodge we stayed in was perfectly suited to us. Loved the veranda and the table and chairs so we could sit outside in the evening with a view across the lawn and to the trees. Breakfast was a feast - only disappointment was that we were only there for one night. We plan to return and stay for longer next time. ”
