"Clean room. We stayed in the original main building on the third floor. Walkway outside our room (the porch area) has loose or broken floor boards. A bit scary and every time someone walked by it sounded like they were going to fall through the floor. Even just standing there it feels like that. So it also made a lot of noise when they walked by enough noise that it woke us up. This is something that really should be addressed. I’m guessing it’s going to become a safety issue at some point. Was hoping to sit out there for the view of the ocean but we just weren’t comfortable because of the floor. Other than that the location for York Beach is great. "

"We had the most wonderful time staying at this property. The photos simply do not do justice to the charm, warmth, and character of this lovely home.Having stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, I was especially impressed by the owner’s responsiveness and care. On our first evening, we encountered a couple of very minor issues, and the owner and his son went above and beyond to address them. Within hours, they arrived with a brand-new comforter for one of the beds and even replaced the grill.Throughout our stay, the owner was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns and was consistently friendly, thoughtful, and helpful.One of our favorite memories came on our last night when my family gathered to play charades. By chance, “the owner” (Whose name I cannot use due to Vrbo guidelines) ended up on one of the cards, and we all laughed because by then we felt like we knew him. It became a running joke: “We love *****!”This was, without question, the best VRBO experience we have ever had. We made wonderful family memories here and cannot wait to return."

"We recently stayed here and overall had a very positive experience. The rooms have been recently renovated, and the upgrades are beautiful. The space felt modern, clean, and fresh. While there was still quite a bit of construction happening around the property, it did not disrupt our stay at all. One thing we really appreciated was being allowed to park onsite before check-in. That gave us the opportunity to spend the entire day exploring the area without worrying about parking. When we arrived at our room, housekeeping was still finishing up. The team was extremely apologetic and worked quickly to get everything ready for us. We appreciated their professionalism and friendly attitude. Our only disappointment was the balcony upgrade. We paid extra for an ocean-view balcony, but the view was primarily of the parking lot, and we would have needed to lean over the railing to see the water. That said, the beach is literally right across the street, so you’re never far from the ocean. My recommendation: save your money and skip the balcony upgrade. One final tip: make sure you eat at Wharf 24, the food truck onsite. The food was absolutely amazing and ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, a great location, comfortable updated rooms, and a team that genuinely cares about guest experience."

"Well renovated hotel. Fairly basic in its amenities, but all you need. Very clean and staff was helpful. The pool is 6 stars! Great outdoor heated pool for kids and adults alike - highlight of the trip. The bar area wasn't open yet, but once it is open will be a great addition to the pool area! 3 min walk to beach (lower tides) or 15 min walk to long sands."
