"We didn’t get the house we originally paid for, the house stunk , had a spiral staircase, one of the doors didn’t lock, the bedrooms only had a lamp, also the electrical outlets were a little scary. The downstairs bathroom did not have a doorknob.We stayed here only because this was the second time of a rental company switching houses on us in this area. Not a pleasant experience during Christmas break."

"The breakfast was amazing and the staff were very accommodating. When we got to our room we realized that the fridge was not working. I talked to the girl at the front desk and within 1/2 hour another one was brought it. We will def be staying here in the future."

"We love this location and have stayed many times over the past five years. The house could use a little TLC, but the location is perfect. Also, the hydrilla can be an issue getting into the River. Thankfully, some fellas on the river cleared a path for us. The screened porch is fabulous as is the yard and dock. Don’t plan on grilling-various issues like no propane or the last users leaving it dirty have deterred us. We will continue to return. You should definitely go! I’m mentioning the issues for the owner."

"Absolutely amazing place to come and relax, especially with dogs. Very nicely equipped in terms of kitchen and bathroom. Having access to kayaks and bikes is a special touch too! Excellent communication throughout the booking process and stay. The water level was low when we were there so it too two people to carefully get kayaks in and out of the water but all the waterways and places to explore were more than worth it. The folder of information was thorough and very helpful. Already booked a return visit!"
"Had no AC working and it was 81 degrees in the house. Talked to owners who were very helpful and sent over their maintenance man immediately. Unfortunately at no fault of theirs, it just wouldn’t work so had to go find another place to stay. It looked like a quiet area to stay. "
