“When I checked in, I noticed that it was humid. This is a walkout basement and it had been raining recently. After a quick walk through, I noticed several dead and alive bugs ( spiders and moisture bugs ) along baseboards. There were also small bugs crawling around in the shower and kitchen counters. The host reached out about the exterior light not working and I reported the bug issues as well as general cleanliness comments. The host said they would talk with the cleaner and offered to freshen……

“This penthouse was amazing. Very clean, really big, comfortable spaces to lounge and watch tv, do puzzles. Easy to get to everywhere, HyVee, restaurants. The patio would be fantastic in the summer months. The fireplaces kept us warm and cozy. There was bar noise from below on Saturday night but we put in noise cancelling headphones and slept just fine, the other nights it was really quiet. Hosts were very responsive. We would definitely book again. ”
