「Room was excellent and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was prepared on the spot. The staff was gracious and friendly. Bent over backwards for us. A step into the past. 」

「We loved it here. Perfect location. It was an updated bathroom attached to our room. Breakfast was everything you want. Confusing a bit on checking in but otherwise great. I did think I was getting a view of the temple but I got the wall of the next building which was disappointing.」

The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home. Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice! A no-frills type of hotel, it provided us exactly what we needed: a convenient, comfy and extremely clean place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together.
