"Driving up to the house it’s very beautiful and definitely had spacious front & backyard area, loved the layout indoors as well. I just wish the cleaning service had been more through after previous guests, there was remnants of a party on the windowsill behind the couch. Overall it was still a nice relaxing stay."

"The street traffic is very loud and constant all night. Otherwise it was a good place to stay for an economy lodging. "

"Way too expensive for what it is. Room not very clean, staff not super friendly/helpful. One example: We were in the pool and noticed that there were no towels in the rack provided. No one had swam today and it was 2PM so would be surprising if they were out for the day, so likely never restocked. We asked them to get some and it took 45 min. The air was cold and my 4yo daughter didn't want to get out out and dry off in the air - I didn't either! When they brought them in they brought them in lazily, chatting the whole time and walking slowly. Nothing was going on at the hotel and it isn't like they washed them in that time, so it was likely just a matter of carrying them from A to B on the premises. The overall trip was like this - great in the pictures, nice enough, but for $400 a night (plus a $20 something a day amenity fee I didn't bargain on!) I'd never go here again."

"This property was everything we needed as a base for exploring Joshua Tree NP. We especially enjoyed the backyard outdoor space and gas grill. The kitchen was fully equipped with good quality dishes, pots and pans, flatware, serving ware, etc. The washer and dryer were handy. There were games available to play, a phone charging station and snacks! Every little detail helped make our stay stress free and enjoyable! We highly recommend this property. "

" Bright, airy, and well appointed. Small details showed the commitment of th host to provide a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable with lovely sheets and great pillows. We enjoyed hanging out in th cool of the house with the record player and eclectic selection of old records. We enjoyed the BBQ, bocce ball, hot tub and lounge chairs. The house next door is quite run down, but we did not notice any problems and it was a very quiet stay. We would definitely stay again. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed having the Village House as our base camp for a recent trip to Joshua Tree. The house was clean and comfy, and Rob quickly answered all my questions. And who doesn't love a jacuzzi after a long day of hiking? We are so glad we found this place and would definitely stay again next time we return to the park. "
