“Just a 1 night stay before catching our flight home and glad we stayed at the Salamander. Stephan and 2 year old chocolate brown Braque named Uma welcomed us into the family home. It was very relaxing having a nice drink in the garden and the room was tastefully decorated, equipped to a modern high standard and in keeping with the property. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with clean crisp linen. Good internet access and very clean. ”

“En déplacement professionnel dans le secteur peu pourvu d'hôtels, très belle surprise avec un accueil irréprochable, de très belles prestations aussi bien pour la chambre que pour l'accès à une cuisine commune. Rien à redire sur le service, la réactivité des propriétaires m'a permis de retrouver la télécommande et d'avoir quelques cafés en plus ! “I had an awesome time. Besides the things to do in Vexen area, the hospitality is superb. The holidays are wonderful people. The continental breakfast in the morning include some world-class, home made confitures. Ditto on the home made yogurt. Great coffee too. BTW the two cats are great. Both friendly and affectionate. Almost forgot to mention that is near Giverny, a must see once in your life. ”

“We were unsure what to expect as there were only a few previous reviews, but all good, and it seemed good value. Online it looked very nice. On arrival we had a little difficulty identifying the accommodation from the car park, but a phone call quickly sorted that. We were met by Xavier and his wife Malika who were very helpful and rightfully very proud of the lovely accommodation they have renovated for our use. We then met the baby dog of theirs who is lovely and shy, but friendly. The……

“I had the pleasure of staying at Villa des Iris at the beginning of December. For the first time after several months of traveling, I unfortunately, made a mistake in my dates and arrived unannounced and unexpected. That said, Jack and his wife were so welcoming and kind and accommodated me for 2 (vs the originally booked 1 night). I was the only one staying in the villa, but I had a very cozy and wonderful stay while I visited Bervais and Amiens.”

“Excellent établissement, très surpris en poussant la porte, un cadre magnifique des propriétaires très accueillants souriant et à l’écoute. Le calme là sérénités et au rendez-vous. Le spa est très bien entretenu et le dîner en option est divin et fait maison. Avec un terrain de 2 hectares de découverte franchement j’ai aucun point négatif à dire. “Nous sommes arrivés vers 20h, aucun restaurant n’était ouvert. Le maître d’hôtel nous a gentiment préparer un repas, charcuteries, fromages, un super vin et même un moelleux chocolat exceptionnel !! Bref un accueil au top avec un vrai service dans un cadre magnifique avec une personne d’une gentillesse merveilleuse.”
