A dream come true

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our Vrbo! It's a cozy condo and the views are to die for! It was great to meet John - he was very kind and welcoming. We were grateful to be near an area to see (and swim with) turtles. It truly made for memories of a lifetime!

Amazing Condo, location and a real Aloha feel.

The pictures on the listing does this condo no justice, for a second my sister and I thought we were in the wrong place. Amazingly clean, stocked with every possible thing you may need while on your stay. Booking was easy and prompt. John checked in on us by text once at our arrival and responded to my text very promptly as well. Views are amazing, turtles and sunsets were to die for. I will return and recommend John to friends and family.

Condo is in a great area for vacation goers. Many nearby beaches, including in your back yard and plenty of places to get food. Waking distance to food court park. Would definitely stay here again!!

Best part is the beach access

The beach is accessible directly from the property which makes the community very special. Overall we had a very nice time staying at this property. If there is a possibility of upgrading the A/C, that would make the property perfect for vacation.

Paradise!

Paradise! We really enjoyed our stay. Close to the beach, restaurants, farmers market, and more. We saw lots of turtles and beautiful fish. We really enjoyed the pool area and the tiki torches at night. We can’t wait to come back!

Second time at the same place

We stayed at this condo 2 times. And we will definitely come back again. Beautiful location, nice owners of the property, the condo is clean and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation at the beach. We would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful resort

We had a great time. The resort is small but right at the ocean. There were so many turtles and snorkeling right off the shore was great. Staff were very friendly. Very quiet location. It was nice to have air conditioning in the bedroom to sleep. Very clean condo. It was a great place. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at John's place

The place was truly amazing. It was incredible to see the turtles swimming up to you as you stood by the rocks. Additionally, the place appeared much more modern and well-maintained compared to the pictures John had provided. Not only that, but John also thoughtfully provided snorkels, floaties, sunscreen, shampoo, and other amenities. We would definitely go back.

Lovely complex

Really relaxing and quiet unit. Fully furnished with everything you'll need. John, the Owner, is really a great, communicative host. Our parents , in their 80's, were so impressed! Way to go, John!

Beautiful ocean-front stay

We loved our time here at this property! From this cozy room on the end of the building, we could see the ocean through the beautiful flowers and lush greenery. It was a 60 second walk to be right by the shoreline. We saw whales, lizards, and turtles! Snorkeling is great from this area but the beachfront is rocky so it takes some finesse getting into the water. The condo itself was comfortable and accommodating. John was quick to respond and helpful in answering any questions we had. We look forward to coming back one day!

Exceptional location! Great place to stay!

When reading prior reviews and how people talked about the turtles, I underestimated them. We loved the beach next to the place! It was a daily event, to go out and sit on the sand and watch the turtles sun-bathe. On one day, we sat for a few hours to watch seven turtles all laying around! The property is excellent! The place was comfortable and had all the amenities you need. We walked the short 1 mile to the market to get fresh fruit, acai bowls and coffee from Bad Ass Coffee and Java Jazz. We are strongly considering staying here again the next time we go to Maui! Thanks so much!

Amazing location

We love staying at the kuleana resort, and john’s condo is the best unit we’ve stayed in there. The condo exceeded expectations in cleanliness, it was spotless and this as the first time I’ve been to Maui and didn’t see a single bug. The view from the patio is gorgeous, and it is an end unit so you don’t have people walking by the unit looking in your windows. The location of the kuleana is unbeatable, it’s in the middle of a protected turtle sanctuary and there are two small beaches accessible from the resort. The resort is very quiet and many of the other guests stay for weeks if not months, so this wouldn’t be a good spot to stay if you’re trying to party or come with a large group.

Paradise

Had an amazing stay here! John was super fast to reply to any questions we had and even provided a very detailed list of food and activity recommendations. The space overall was very clean and and well kept. The location was wonderful it was quiet, safe and the staff onsite was also very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed being away from the large resorts, but still only being like 10/15 minutes away from main shopping. There was plenty of food options as well within a few minute drive. We loved spending the mornings enjoying breakfast on the patio listing to the birds and the waves, and walking down to the beach for sunset. We also saw plenty of turtles, which was awesome! We really loved this space and would 100% recommend it to others visiting the island. We hope to be able to visit here again soon!

Memories made

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Maui. The grounds of this property are hard to beat! Beautiful flora, viewing turtles up close, great ocean access, nightly sunsets, large, heated sparkling pool and tennis courts! Everything we needed for a perfect stay! There is a concierge that comes to the lobby on Saturday mornings that you can book excursions with. We booked a champagne sunset sail out of Lahaina and it was a highlight! Lots of happy hours, shopping, yoga and coffee stops were some of our outings. The unit was as described... we enjoyed the air conditioner in the bedroom for a comfortable nights sleep. A bonus was that we got to check in early when requested! Thank you for the opportunity to stay~ Wonderful Memories made.❤️🌺😎

A beautiful stay!

I stayed here for a 3 day get away with my 2 young adult children and another young adult friend. It was a little crowded for 4 of us, but between the 1 bed, pull out sofa, and couch cushions on the floor we made it work. The location is beautiful and everything about the condo is as advertised. There are other condos between this one and the beach, but it is a short walk and the view from the lanai is exactly as pictured. This is an end unit so there is a little more private feel. From the little dock down by the beach we could see turtles swimming and whales out in the sea, and one night 2 big turtles were napping up on the sand. It was awesome. There was a little mix up with the wifi password, but the owner was very responsive and the correct password was noted on the door, so that was resolved quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a little slice of paradise.

Beautiful area

John and Val were super helpful because I had so many questions on things to do and places to eat. Beautiful gardens, however the picture you see is only part of the view. Although it is beautiful what you don't see in the pic is another condo directly in front of you, so pic is a little misleading. When we were there for a day I called him about it and he said "I'll come over there and show you the view in the pic and if you are not satisfied you can be on your way" Really? His wife did call later and talked a little nicer. Also the air conditioner was super loud so we couldn't even use it, and I wear earplugs! All in all we did have a nice time in mauai

Lovely location & outlook but several basic items missing from kitchen.

We were told we could check in at 11am & arrived at 1pm after flight from Sydney & shopping. Cleaner was still cleaning & we had to come back in an hour. Obviously an honest mix up but didn't make the start of our holiday much fun. The location is really nice & quite & the resort grounds immaculate. We thought this was a beachfront apartment. It is in the 2nd row behind a row of other condos but the view is still nice. We were surprised with the lack of cooking items. No toaster or kettle. One tiny pot we had to boil water with. The bedspread was very dusty so I'd say wouldn't have been washed in a long time. The air con was really loud so had to be turned off when sleeping but the fan was sufficient for March. I think It would be good to have a guest welcome book with things to do on Maui from a locals perspective plus info on the resort facilities or any other tips or info to help guests.

Best view in Maui

This place was perfect for me and my daughter to enjoy a few days in Maui! It has a beautiful view from the Lanai, lovely garden area, an amazing private beach/snorkeling area and all of the amenities you could possibly need! We loved this beach so much we didn't even want to go looking for other beaches. It was not crowded and we actually were able to snorkel with one of Hawaii's amazing green sea turtles! My daughter and I will never forget this trip and this property. The inside was decorated nicely and very clean. The owner was very nice, polite, and always available for questions. He provided some beach towels/equipment/toys which was awesome since we packed light for our long flight in. The kitchen had utensils and cookware so that it was easy for us to save money by preparing some meals at home. There is also a grill station overlooking the ocean (we did not use it but would have loved to). We had some friends we visited that stayed in Kihei. After our visit there, we were even more happy with our accommodations and view! Overall, I would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. It was like a dream come true. If I get the chance to go back, I would definitely list this as my first choice of places to stay and would recommend it to anyone who loves clean, beautiful, relaxing, aloha vacations! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your awe-inspiring home! 😊

Great location beautiful property

We stayed for 11 nights with two young children and had a wonderful time. The condo itself needs some updating but we were hardly in it. The only thing I would wish for would be a bigger patio area. The condo location is fabulous and the landscaping is incredible. We were able to see a turtle come up and take a nap on the rocky beach and most of the time we had the huge pool all to ourselves.

Swam with turtles!

Great little place for a couple. Nice location with easy access (by car, bike or bus) to pretty much everything I think you might want. End unit, so it had a bit of a secluded feel and a great little lanai. If you intend to spend most of your time outside, I bet this will be ideal for you as it was for us.
