It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Rummet lite slitet, men det hade en egen liten trädgård med utsikt. Maten och frukosten var fantastiskt bra och personalen mycket hjälpsam och vänlig.
