Stayed here for 6 nights. Staff were amazing, very 'family feel' environment and incredibly helpful with setting up flights and other excursions. Good location close to Thamel main district. Clean rooms with good temperature control.

Santos will make you feel right at home and part of the family from the moment you arrive. Some of the rooms are air-conditioned., which is nice during the hot summer. His help was essential to me in helping me make my bus reservation and find the bus stop. Very clean, the kitchen is right downstairs, perfect place to stay!

Comfy beds, great service, super friendly staff, tasty breakfast, quiet at night.
Area is a little dark at night, not sure I’d walk around by myself then, but apart from that, everything about this guesthouse was excellent.

Gurung's Home has truly become my home away from home. I stay here - nowhere else! - whenever i'm in Kathmandu. The staff is the family, and they are so welcoming, and able to help me with my transportation issues. It is a little bit hard for the taxis to find the address, because Google Maps directs them to a pedestrian street. But about five minutes out of the way, and you can find it. The location is cool because the bustling city is right nearby, but the hotel is on a quiet side street. Sometimes I hear the children playing in the playground, but I love hearing happy children. Highly recommend.
