"Travelled in January with my family of 4 adults. The grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped and maintained. Check in was smooth and friendly, the desk attendant was very helpful and accommodating, he was able to set up a last minute birthday celebration within minutes of us checking in. The 5 thermal pools were beautiful with at least two of them having a great background view of Arenal volcano for great pictures. The swim up pool bar was very fun, Dilan, our bartender made wonderful drinks. The staff was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. This is a moderately priced resort. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Dinner was ok but there were many options.Most of the rooms, including ours, looked like wood cabins and were comfortable with a lovely porch and rocking chairs. The room was large enough to accommodate our 4 adults with 4 beds. The room was comfortable and the bathroom can benefit from an upgrade. "This resort was amazing. The hotel staff were so friendly, we loved all of the pools, loved the spa and restaurants. The view of the volcano was amazing from our room. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and it could not have been better. They upgraded our room and gave us a bottle of wine. The massage I had here was the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Everything was amazing at The Hideaway, from the beautiful room to the absolutely breathtaking property and the wonderful staff. We had such a memorable experience here we will never forget. We did the night walk and saw birds, snakes and red eyed frogs! The food was amazing for dinner at each restaurant, and the breakfast was incredible. "Beautiful hotel in the rainforest! The grounds were immaculate and stunning, the rooms spacious and very clean. Hotel staff is wonderful, shout out to German at the pool bar! The food was excellent including the free breakfast buffet. Uber is super accessible and its a quick ride to downtown La Fortuna."
