Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. Chairs, cooler, and umbrella available or just go to the towel hut for chairs. Beautiful gardens. Appreciated the coffee and chocolate! It is 2 flights up. “The place was exactly as pictured, even better. There are also 2 beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards and a cooler on the lanai. Check in was super easy and the host was very attentive. We had an AC issue and while the maintenance man wasn’t able to come that day (it was the day the tsunami came) he did come in the morning and fixed it within 15 minutes. Highly recommend this place! It was a little tight with 2 teenagers but we bought an air mattress and it was fine.”

She and her staff continued to respond quickly during our stay for minor questions. "Great value stay in Kauai, especially for families. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated. The location is a huge plus. It’s close to the airport and within easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. Not needing to drive for meals or snacks was extremely convenient. The hotel’s restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, is also delicious and worth trying. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was spotting a monk seal resting right on the beach in front of the hotel—such a special and unexpected experience. A couple of small things could be improved: the shower pressure in our room was a bit weak, and the public microwave in the lobby wasn’t very easy to find. Overall, this hotel is a great option for families. Our 2-year-old had a wonderful time here, and we would happily stay again on our next trip to Kauai."
