"Private secluded property; rustic but had all we needed. The bed was so comfortable, had two nights of great rest. Short drive to the park entrance and several options for dining. Stop at the general store in Volcano Village for sandwiches for your day in the park-easily one of the tastiest sandwiches we’ve ever had. Great stay, will be back!"

"I spent 10 nights here in November. This is a very clean cottage, very well maintained. The owner/host is awesome and was in the area taking care of his other cottages so I spoke with him a couple times. He even stopped by and dropped off a new air fryer for me one day. Worked out great for fish and crabcakes from Pahoa. What’s incredible about this place is the location. It’s right in the middle of the red road along the south eastern cliffs of the big island. this is easily the closest vacation rental to Kehena Beach, about a one minute walk. stunning Beach, I’ve never seen anything else quite like it, but check it out before you go. It’s not an ordinary beach. Location is remote, beautiful, but only about an hour from volcanoes national Park. I was able to make several trips to the Volcano during my stay. Hope to stay here again!"

"The Sweet Spot is a very special place. The house is tucked under a massive tree canopy that made it the perfect place to escape the mid day heat. September must be mango season because the mangos falling on the tin roof caused quite the racket. We enjoyed the rustic house and outdoor shower and we had everything we desired to cook and enjoy a lovely vacation. Mickey who lives on the property made us feel right at home and had great recommendations for our daily excursions. Thank you Michael!!"
