    Set on a lovely tranquil 5 star award winning park. Ideal retreat for walking, fishing, canoeing and cycling. Nearest pub 1 mile. Ideal base to visit areas within the Lake District National Park. Keswick being 6 miles and Cockermouth 7 miles.

Great location, it would make a wonderful family holiday location. Everything worked, plenty of kitchen equipment. It got hot in the evening but soon cooled down when the sun went down.

Overall the property was great, well prepared and fully equipped. WiFi was worse than expected with connectivity failing regularly both for TV and device. Couldn't get the EV charger to work, with nearest charging station in Keswick or Cockermouth. Staff were very helpful. Lovely Outlook and location.

The lodge was beautifully positioned with a view of the lake from the spacious decking. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were very comfy. I loved listening to the birds in the morning and my daily evening walks with the dog and children down by the lake. So peaceful and relaxing. We even managed to try paddle boarding and the reception staff were very helpful! It got hot during the day as it’s glass fronted but there were 2 fans provided which really helped us to stay cool. Beautiful lodge in fantastic peaceful surroundings we will definitely be returning!

Everything was great! Lodge is perfect for 2 but easily fits 4 people. We had some welcoming presents and everything was very clean and tidy. Location is ideal. We would definitely recommend it.

A fantastic mini break

Fantastic lodge, so well looked after with all the little bits you need. Superb location with amazing views, very peaceful and great base for visiting other areas of the lake district. Would definitely recommend staying here.
