Great location

Nice home in great community. Having the ability to use the Beach club pool was an absolute bonus. The home lacked a few basic essential for the family who plans to cook quite a few meals, but the area was convenient and being in the channel was perfection.

Pool is not heated unless you pay extra fee.

When we arrived the freezer didn’t work because it was left open and iced over, silverware was dirty and had to be re-washed but our biggest issue was that the pool was ice cold and the listing said it was heated! We were never told about a 35.00 a day fee for heating the pool until we arrived! 2 days later a nice young man spent 90 minutes removing all the ice from the freezer. We have stayed at VRBO’s several times but lack of communication made this visit VERY disappointing! We rented this property because of the heated pool. And we rented for 2 weeks, we were given a one day refund but the pool was the big issue, we did not pay the extra fee only because of false advertising! Terrible Communications!

Could Have Been Great

We went to Key Colony Beach for an annual Thanksgiving trip and were very excited about staying at this property. It appeared to be recently renovated, so we assumed there would not be any major issues. Luckily, there were not and we did have a very enjoyable stay. The place was very clean and had a nice layout for everyone to be together in the common areas, as well as have space to unwind. The back patio area was wonderful for relaxing and letting the kids fish in the canal with the rods available. Unfortunately, there were several issues when we first arrived that made the stay less than ideal. First, the retractable awning that is shown was completely out of commission. While I understand that weather can damage them, this should be replaced asap once it is damaged so renters can enjoy the back area in the afternoon with some shade. This is a cost of owning a property like this.Second, the bikes that were advertised were completely unusable. The bikes both had flat tires (with no pump available) and were pretty beat up. And finally, after successfully paying in advance for the pool to be heated, we arrived on Thanksgiving day to a cold pool. While VRBO did respond and someone did come out and turn it on, we had 2 days of our stay with an unheated pool. I requested a refund of those 2 days, but as of now have not received any response from the local team. While not truly concerned about the , I feel the local customer service was rather poor for this property.
