Place was cozy but small. It was just me and my 13 yo daughter so not bad. This is Florida so there were a few critters few ants and a centipede. My only complaint was the coffee pot was on the right side of the sink but no outlets. Had to move next to stove but not much room there. No counter space.

It’s a little old and could use some TLC but the grounds are beautiful and quiet with a small private pool. Nothing was NOT pleasing to me.

Happy with Papa's
I had a wonderful stay at Papa's Hideaway. It was quiet, clean and cool and only two blocks from all the attractions. I would stay there anytime I was in Key West. The only problem was having to return the key many hours before my flight I did not want to pay for another cab back to the old town. Vacasa should have a more better system for the key drop off. The Vacasa staff was friendly and very helpful.

Beware of hidden costs!
Papa’s hideaway in its self is very comfortable. However, if traveling by ferry, you have to go to the other side of the island to “check-in” and receive keys. And then return to the other side for your stay. When you go to check out, they expect you to again travel to the other side of the isla d to return the keys adding an extra $80 for an Uber (round trip twice). They do not tell you this little bit of information until the day before. Very very disappointing!
