“Great staff who are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure guests are happy. The breakfasts had a good variety catering for all tastes, the evening meals were tasty, my husband described the pie as "out of this world". The bedroom room was a good size and the bathroom was well appointed. The only downside was the shower lost pressure a couple of times, however the staff arranged to get it fixed.”

“This is a wonderful example of historic English buildings that have been updated for modern stays without losing their architectural quirks and historical oddities. Not ideal for people with limited mobility, but we enjoyed ducking under low lintels and walking over uneven floors, some of which have been around for several centuries. Our room was clean and well-provided, and though there was a leak in the clean-water part of our toilet the owner told us that the required part was on order and……

“The room looked ok but on closer inspection not so good! Bathroom had mould in the tile grout in the shower and the remaining bathroom was bare plaster. The toilet seat was not attached properly. The bathroom had some sort of sewage maceration system that would go off every hour throughout the night! Nobody knew how the tv worked!! Four remotes for 1 tv!! They then had to go out for batteries as nobody could get it to work! There were thick cobwebs around one of the pictures but the room was……
