"Very steep hill from oceanfront room (Mermaid beach) to big house where terrace restaurant is. I could not walk up there due to back issues, but staff would pick me up in shuttle van. Beautiful property. More choices for dining would have been good- only one restaurant open for dinner each night."

The villa was honestly perfect for our family of 5. Incredible views and so comfortable. We loved spending time on the deck as well as searching for sea glass on the beach in front! Would love to return! "

"This was our third stay at this property. It’s so clean and has all of the amenities anyone could want. The sounds of waves can be heard from every bedroom. It’s perfect for four couples. It has two full kitchens with ice makers in both fridges. All of the beds are comfy, and the bathrooms have lots of hot water and great water pressure. The Wi-Fi works well here also. Several restaurants nearby. Very safe area with gated property. Would definitely stay here again. The house is amazing and the owner is very accommodating! You won’t be disappointed by staying here. "The room was spacious. The view was great - you could see the sea from the bed. I really liked the location - very walkable and convenient to everything. I also liked the sun deck. But apparently, do NOT pick room 205, or ask to change if you are assigned room 205. When I mentioned the crazy loud bass and music until 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning, the front desk clerk chastised me, saying, "Most guests ask to be away from the bar." Huh?! How would I ever guess that this was a thing. SO - note to future guests of the King Christian - ask NOT to get room 205 if you want to actually sleep and not leave your room in your pjs at 2:20 a.m. to ask them to turn it down"
