「We found Villent to be a cosy and well-appointed, authentic home. We appreciated very much the differences that made it a truly unique Japanese home from what we are used to, yet it had all we needed also. The location was also ideal for us. I wanted my kids to see the true heart of suburban Japan. The neighbourhood and surrounding streets, shops and markets were a special treat and we always felt safe walking to the shops or nearby park, day or night - only 3 to 8min walk to anything needed.I...

「It was very special experience to stay at Japanese traditonal house with my family. It was a little bit far from the main sightseeing site but we were ok because we had a car. Kinkakuji was especially awesome.」

Close to attractions and restaurants. The morning breakfasts and home stay in omakase were fantastic and delicious. Also, the in house baths were beautiful and amazing. 」

「The main concern was the pull-out couch had white splotch marks all over it. After using the washing machine, we realized it left similar markings on our clothes and was hopefully the cause of the questionable makings on the couch. Everything else was very clean. Otherwise, it was about a 10-15 minute walk to convenience stores and several different train stations. The house was as described in listing and all 5 adults that stayed agreed we would book this place again.」

「We loved our stay at Gion Ryokan! The staff were so lovely, the bed pads were comfortable, and we enjoyed having access to a full kitchen. The location is amazing- right in the beautiful old district and just down the street from multiple temples and shrines! Short walk to amazing food options too!」

「The house had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. It was clean, comfortable, and in a quiet neighbourhood. Less than a 10 minute walk from the subway station. Rambo was accommodating when we were in the area early and met us to check us in and show us around. 」
