Was unable to stay at this hotel as they do not allow children. The owner was nice enough to give us a partial refund but I wanted to write this review to caution future travelers to READ THE FINE PRINT. Their ad on Expedia DOES NOT say that they do not allow children. It says they “only welcome adults” which can be easy to overlook. Don’t make the same mistake we did

One of our best hotels in Ireland out of nine! The owner was lovely and very friendly and truly interested in making sure your stay was as comfortable as possible. We splurged for the room with a view of the harbor on the ground level. Breakfast was also delicious. Highly recommend this hotel. Free parking can be found along the waterfront a 5min walk away. Mattresses seem to be firmer than the ones in the US but still comfortable. You won’t regret staying here, lovely hotel!

This is a historic building in the centre of Kinsale. We were very pleased with the extremely large room on the ground floor. Breakfast was also very good. Peter, the host and owner, was very accommodating and helpful. He shared some interesting family history with us including about the establishment. Restaurants, pubs and stores are literally just down the street. Parking can be scarce when the tour buses are in town but you will find something (the lot across the street is free from 6pm until 1030 am). The town settles down in the evening. I highly recommend the Long Quay If you like old style B&B.
