“Beautifully renovated cottage with comfortable bed and modern washroom. Conveniently located for exploring Guisborough and helpful guidebook with suggestions for the kids and adults. The grocery store is a 5-minute block away also. Andy was very helpful and easy to communicate with.”

“On site parking ( always a bonus ) Quiet area. Easy to access. Well equipped with everything provided. Outside space. It was perfect for our overnight stay”

“I had a wonderful 5-day stay at Byre Cottage in North Yorkshire. The cottage is beautiful, cosy, and full of character, with a lovely fireplace that made the evenings especially relaxing and warm. The location is absolutely stunning, set between peaceful farmland and rolling hills, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Waking up to the fresh countryside air and quiet views each morning was truly refreshing. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire countryside”

“Incredible location - right next to the sea, round the corner from the train station, Sainsburys, and town centre. There's a playground opposite for kids of all ages. Reasonable price which includes either a continental or full English breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Warm throughout, including the bedroom. Comfortable beds and duvets. Only check in is a bit stressful because they send you the details a few hours before you arrive but it was no problem in the end. I would stay here again.”

“Angie is a lovely warm welcoming lady , nothing was a bother , only staid one night as was having a meal in the Fox Covert next door which is really great place , The cottage was a propped cottage feel , and could sleep upto 6 but was only the two of us , proper kitchen and shower n toilet was compact but everything you needed , lovely place to stay and will be back , also location is good for all local amenities and local attractions, Thank you ”

“Spot on”

“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“On arrival, getting the keys was a simple process, however, as soon as we got in, we could see the setup was unusual. Yes there are 3 "bedroom", or at least 3 separate areas with beds. However, one of them is a living / dining / kitchenette area, with a double bed in there as well. There wasn't any running hot water, even after asking the host, who said "you need to run the tap really slow", which we did for over 20 minutes - still cold. There was a modicum of heat in the water the next……

“It's a quirky place but it was as described and Angie was welcoming and accommodating.”
