Loved that you could see the sound from the deck. Had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay with family and friends. And walking distance to boardwalk area and beach was perfect.

We were delighted with our week in Duck. The house is lovely and comfortable, the pool was clean and nice to enjoy when we'd grown tired of the beach. Great proximity to restaurants and shops, easily reachable by walking!

This place was absolutely amazing. We have small children and this place was perfect for what we needed. Pool was amazing, location couldn’t have been better. The privacy of this place is unmatched. We loved the town of Duck, everything you want within walking distance. Beach was super nice. We could have walked, but the drive and private parking were so convenient. We went all over the OBX exploring. The central location of Duck made it a breeze. Will definitely stay again. 11/10 rating.

First time using Vacasa was skeptical but everything run smooth. The house was very clean (We only use two rooms). The house kitchen is fully equipped. We had a great time during our stay, great amenities and beach was within waking distance. The only downside as previously indicated is that the wifi barely works. I used my cellphone data the whole time I was there. If you plan to rent this place and work from home, I will 100% recommend you to plan ahead. We do plan to rent this place again in the future.

This place would be fine at half the price, but I just didn't think it was worth what we paid for it given the condition and how far it is from the beach. There wasn't any one thing that was a huge problem, but a lot of little things that were missed that I would have hoped someone would take care of. It wasn't that clean and just in general felt run down. For example, there was a lot of dog hair on the furniture and throughout the house, we found a large cockroach in the basement, the carpet had a number of stains and was just generally very worn, and some of the outdoor furniture was peeling/rusting badly. The foosball table had a few broken pieces, which made it really hard to play, and the pool basketball hoop that is shown in the pictures is just not even there. There was also a bunch of algae/mold buildup on the back steps by the pool, which made it very slippery and a bit dangerous to use that entrance. The internet was very weak and almost unusable during our stay. Also, there's an outdoor bar with live music that sits sort of behind the house and it's extremely loud every night. Even with all of the doors and windows shut, it was a lot.

The property and amenities were excellent for our 2-week family stay in Duck. The location is excellent for walking into town for food and shopping. We did rent a golf cart as the distance from the beach is doable by foot, but difficult if you have small children.

House was nice. Cleaning needs to be more thorough. All plastic plants are caked in dust. The lights all had cobwebs. We also found large rawhide dog chew toys under the couch. Toilet pepper holder in primary bathroom would not stay on the wall.

Great location. Fully stocked kitchen. Clean. Loved being able to bring our dog. Enjoyed using the clubhouse facilities— tennis, weight room, and racquetball. Close walk to the beach, the sound, and to local shops/restaurants. Peaceful in the winter.

Dock Holiday is a great family house, with an updated interior and fantastic location in town and near the beach. I traveled with six boys, ages 11-17, and the kids loved the rec room in the basement, the hot tub, and the biking options to the beach and to shops/restaurants in Duck Village. The kids also used the weight room and community pool at Schooner Ridge. The house is well stocked, and other than groceries, we didn't need anything while we were there (there was plenty of toilet paper, trash bags, detergent). We used Delivery Genie to bring groceries to the house before we arrived (highly recommend!). Thanks for a memorable week Dock Holiday!

We had a wonderful stay at this great property! Able to walk to a beautiful beach from the house. Pool and hot tub in back yard! Neighborhood facility included work out facility, indoor/outdoor pool, tennis and Raquetball court. House was new and clean and looked exactly like the pictures! Highly recommend!!

This house was beautifully decorated - just like the photos - and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need, and there were even beach chairs, an umbrella, and corn hole. It is located at the top end of Schooner Ridge so very close to the center of Duck, which is great for shopping. Recommend bringing or renting bikes for a short cycle to the beach. This is one of my favorite houses in Schooner Ridge, and we have stayed in a lot in this neighborhood. The only negative about this lovely house…the cockroaches that came out after the rain. The house had just been treated prior to our arrival, so hopefully the treatment will take effect for the next renters. Other than that, I would highly recommend this house.
