“After booking Zoe the host sent me detailed descriptions of how to find the accommodation. Our taxi driver found the place without problems. It’s located in a local neighborhood close to the main road and outside the hectic tourist areas. Zoe lives in the same compound and is always available for any assitance. The house itself is clean, with good and stable wifi and has a big kitchen to cook. I recommend the place! will definitely book again. ”

“While there were a few surprises in the location of the property - the beach is much rockier and not as accessible as in the pictures - the hospitality and friendliness of the staff made up for it. Hassan our driver was incredibly helpful and Shakira our host was amazing. Angel in the kitchen presented a wonderful breakfast each morning and made a great Gin & Tonic (for medicinal purposes only). The pool is wonderful and pool perfect.”

“We had mostly unfortunate weather during our stay in Matemwe, which was a shame (and please note that the rain does not enter the villa, even during heavy storms, unlike one previous reviewer's comments). But the villa is stunning, Matemwe as a location is the least spoilt and developed of all the main beaches in the north of Zanzibar, and Natalia is a wonderful host. The photos don't really do it justice. The beachfront location means that when the sun is out, the best place to be is lying on……

“the apartment we stayed in is on the first floor, equipped with everything you need and has a beautiful terrace from which you can never get enough of admiring the beach and the ocean. In the immediate vicinity there are several places where you can serve both local and international cuisine. We spent a wonderful vacation here.”

“The pictures on VRBO do not show the actual beauty of the place. Abs Juma was so gracious to retrieve me ahh no d my family from the airport and take us back on departure. He checked on us frequently to see if there was any additions to make our stay comfortable. Ayoub, house attendant assisted with laundry after our safari. Many eateries nearby. Short drive to stone town and the beach. Tours were easily arranged with driver that picked us up from the airport. We had an awesome time in Zanzibar.……
