“our party of 5 arrived at 10.45 on a sunday morning to go to a wedding at the mere resort,we tried booking a taxi to take us to the mere for 12 00,this was not possible as all taxis were fully booked,the owner of the hotel was amazing as he let us check in early to drop our belongings and then he offered to take us to the venue to which we duely accepting,we woke next morning to a lovely cooked breakfast,had a lovely night sleep in a nice comfy bed,all i can say is thank you for going above and……

“The staff is very helpful. The room size is big for family room but the interior decoration is old. The hotel garden is very nice and is a wedding venue thought the location is quite remote and no any other restaurants or stores available.”

“Lovely property. Owners very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The rooms were very well equipped with hair dryer, smellies and tea and coffee etc. staff were happy to help with everything. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. We stayed as we were at a wedding at colshaw hall, which was about 5 miles away. Great location and highly recommended. Thank you to the owners who are fabulous hosts ”

“The room is without any supply of tea or coffee bags, nor any boiler for hot water. Tooth paste and shampoo/shower gel can be purchased at the reception. The cleanliness of pillow and blanket can be better if not of a string of hair and some stain found on them. Luckily the staff are helpful and ready to provide blanket for my two kids (only one large blanket in a family room for four). ”

“Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. All completely clean and functional……
